Research Culture Celebration 

On 30 September 2024, we held the first University of Cambridge Research Culture Celebration. The event was co-sponsored by the ARRC Project and the University of Cambridge Institutional Research Culture Steering Committee.

Nominations Process

When soliciting nominations, we took the broad scope of research culture into account by structuring nominations around applicable themes.   

For PI nominations, these themes included:   

• Leadership  

• Concern for professional development  

• Recognition and Reward  

• Wellbeing management and support  

• Inclusive practice  

For research group nominations, these themes included:

Your Research, Your Voice

We explored how early career academics and research supervisors think about their respective roles and professional relationships by asking participants to respond to one of three writing prompts. These prompts aimed to inspire diverse and honest submissions that will provide exploratory and novel insight into the interpersonal aspects of the researcher experience.
